A couple is suing Airbnb and a property owner, saying their negligence led to the slaying of their 18-year-old son at a party thrown at a Sunnyvale home that never should have been listed as a rental. In the lawsuit filed in San Francisco Superior Court, Abdallah Elhania and Zahra Elmenjaoui allege that both the rental company and the property owner should be held responsible for the death of Elias Elhania. The family seeks damages and wants a judge to declare the property a public nuisance so that it can't be used for future Airbnb rentals.
