SUNNYVALE – A San Jose man died of injuries he suffered in a rear-end collision Wednesday night in Sunnyvale, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash was reported around 6:50 p.m. on Highway 237 east of Mathilda Avenue, the CHP said in a statement. According to the CHP, a San Jose woman was driving a 2007 Lexus ES350 westbound at 60 mph when she looked away from the road for a moment. When she looked back, she saw that traffic had come to a stop. The woman pressed the brakes but she was unable to avoid crashing into a vehicle in front of her, the CHP said.
